The Collaborators
Summary-
In Chapter 5, "The Collaborators", the Author of the Founding Brothers tells the reader about the friendship of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Even though they were both not similar at all, they had been friends before and during the Revolution, but their different political views separated their friendship. John Adams was a federalist and Thomas Jefferson was a Republican Democrat. Their different political views still got in the way during John Adams's presidency, even though Thomas Jefferson was Vice President! Jefferson would attack a lot of Adams's views and they disagreed constantly. Eventually Jefferson's attacks proved to be worth while and he won the presidential election in 1800.
